About these terms
Last updated: 1st October 2026
These terms apply when you book or attend a class, course or session with Revive Tai Chi, or use www.revivetaichi.co.uk. By booking, you agree to them.
Revive Tai Chi is run by Alla Bennett, a sole trader based in Ash Vale, Surrey ("we", "us"). Contact us at taichi@revivethrive.coach.
How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Booking and payment
-
Termly classes are booked and paid for in advance for the whole term. Prices are shown on each class page.
-
Drop-in sessions, where offered, are paid for at the time of booking.
-
Free trial: new students may attend one trial session free of charge before committing to a term. One free trial per person.
-
Your place is confirmed once payment is received. Class sizes are limited and places are allocated in order of booking.
-
If you join part-way through a term, you pay only for the remaining sessions.
-
We may change our prices, but changes never affect a term you have already paid for.
Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel
Termly bookings. If you cancel at least 7 days before the first class of the term, we'll give you a full refund. If you cancel less than 7 days before, or after the term has started, no refund is due, though we may offer a credit towards a future term at our discretion.
Missed classes. We can't refund individual classes you miss within a paid term, but you're welcome to make them up at another of our classes that term, if there's space.
Drop-in sessions. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the class, you'll receive a full refund or credit. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, and no-shows, are not refunded.
If illness or injury stops you attending for several weeks, contact us and we'll do our best to help, for example by carrying sessions over to the next term.
Because our classes are leisure services on specific dates, the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not apply to bookings.
If we cancel
If we cancel a class, for example because of instructor illness or the venue becoming unavailable, we will tell you as early as we can and either reschedule it or refund that session in full.
Outdoor classes go ahead in most weather. If heavy rain, high winds or ice make it unsafe, we'll cancel and let you know by [email or text or WhatsApp at least 1 hour beforehand.
Cancelled outdoor sessions are rescheduled or refunded.
Health and taking part
Tai Chi and Qigong are gentle, low-impact practices, but like any exercise they carry some risk.
-
Before your first class, tell us about any medical condition, injury, recent surgery or pregnancy that could affect you. If you're unsure whether Tai Chi is suitable, check with your GP first.
-
Tell us if your health changes during a term.
-
Work within your own limits. Stop and tell the instructor if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort.
-
Wear comfortable clothing and flat, flexible shoes, and bring water. For outdoor classes, dress for the weather.
-
Our instructor's guidance is general and is not medical advice.
Online classes and corporate sessions
Online classes
-
You're responsible for a suitable internet connection, device and a safe, clear space to practise in.
-
Joining links are for your personal use only. Please don't share them.
-
If a class can't run because of a technical problem on our side, we'll reschedule or refund that session.
Corporate sessions
Sessions for employers and organisations are delivered on-site or online under a separate written agreement, which sets out fees, scheduling and cancellation terms. Where that agreement differs from these terms, the agreement applies.
Conduct, liability and other terms
Conduct.
Please arrive on time and treat others with respect. We may refuse entry to, or ask to leave, anyone whose behaviour is unsafe or disruptive. In that case no refund is due.
Liability. We hold public liability insurance and take reasonable care to keep classes safe. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss or damage that wasn't foreseeable, for loss of or damage to personal belongings at venues, or for business losses. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Website and content. The text, images, videos and materials on our website and in our classes belong to Revive Tai Chi or are used with permission. You may use them for your own personal practice but not copy, share or sell them without our written permission. We try to keep the website accurate but can't guarantee it's always up to date or error-free.
Changes to these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book is the one that applies to that booking.
Complaints.
If something isn't right, please tell us at taichi@revivethrive.coach and we'll aim to resolve it within 14 days.
Law.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
