Alla Bennett

Qigong & Tai Chi Instructor

Alla began her Tai Chi and Qigong journey in 1998 by learning the Yang style of Taiji Quan and Qigong. From her very first class, she could feel the beauty and power of Tai Chi.

Since 2014, Alla has been studying Chen style Tai Chi and Qigong with Karel and Eva Koskuba from the Chinese Internal Arts Association. She enjoys balancing her practice between both Tai Chi and Qigong. “Qigong is like a building block for Tai Chi,” she says. “It is beautiful, and its potential for improving health is enormous. Tai Chi, on the other hand, gives you feedback—it's a test that your training is solid and that you're on the right path.”

Her favourite aspects of Qigong include Qigong for women’s health, as well as Qigong for injury recovery and prevention. As a keen athlete, Qigong is an integral part of her routine—whether she’s playing tennis, cycling, or swimming.

In 2019, she set up her first Tai Chi class and has since been passionate about teaching both Tai Chi and Qigong to her colleagues, local community, and people around the world via Zoom.

Alla is a member of Tai Chi Union for Great Britain and continues her training with Eva and Karel Koskuba and regularly attends classes with Master Chen Xiao Wang and his son, Chen Ying Jun.
